This Steinway 'Big Ole Upright' is from the Victorian era (1889), is fully rebuilt and refurnished and possesses a fullness, warmth and variety of tone that one would find in some grand pianos. The case has been lacquered and sprayed with a satin finish, and the soundboard is fully restored. There are new strings and tuning pins, the action is fully rebuilt, the original ivory keys have been restored and a Dampchasser system has been installed to counteract the effects of humidity.This is one of the best sounding uprights you will hear. Possessing a large, rich tone, this piano plays well in all the registers, with a warm bass and a bright, resonant treble. We would recommend this authentic American classic 'big ole upright' to piano players of all levels.
